KemperSports Names Kyle Holmes General Manager at Harbor Shores

On Feb. 16, 2018, KemperSports named Kyle Holmes as the new general manager at Harbor Shores, a KemperSports golf course located in Benton Harbor, Mich., that is preparing to be the host site for the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship later this year.

A Midwest native and PGA of America member, Holmes brings nearly a decade of golf course management experience with him to Harbor Shores, including serving as the general manager at Northfield Golf Club and Quail Ridge Golf Club, where he helped increase golf revenue by more than 20 percent in two years.

“Kyle’s passion for the game as well as his significant track record of success in the Midwest will be a tremendous asset to Harbor Shores as they prepare to host another senior major championship,” KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner said.

One of Holmes’ first major duties will be assist the team at Harbor Shores as they get set to be the host of  KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship for the fourth time. On May 22-27, 2018, Harbor Shores hopes to bring a top-notch PGA Tour championship experience to Southwest Michigan. The three KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship that were previously hosted by Harbor Shores were won by Roger Chapman (2012), Colin Montgomerie (2014), and Rocco Mediate (2016).

Harbor Shores encompasses 530 beautiful acres and features an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course that is enjoyed by golfers from all over the world. Nearby Benton Harbor, Mich., and St. Joseph, Mich., have long been popular vacation destinations and places for second homes, but their atmosphere has been enhanced by Harbor Shores’ world-class golf course and elegant clubhouse.

Harbor Shores, which has been managed by KemperSports since it opened in 2010, not only helps add to the area’s overall aesthetic beauty, it has also helped improve economic, environmental and social factors within its community.
